Pregnancy and birth are unique opportunities for each woman. The excitement of adding a new baby to the home grows with time and preparation. But that excitement may be clouded with apprehension and fear.

As a midwife, it is my honor to serve women through the seasons of pregnancy. Education is key. Therefore my goal is to support the expectant mother by providing the options available to her giving her a voice to make her own informed decisions about her care. After all, it is her body, her baby, her birth, and her decision.

During pregnancy, we build a relationship so that I know her hopes, dreams, and fears, allowing me to better meet her needs. As birth nears, she, her partner, and I become a team with the same goal and mindset. My care enables them to birth their way. I monitor the mother’s health and the well-being of her baby at every step, from our first encounter, through birth, and to the final postpartum visit.
